This site sets one cookie, and only once you sign in. There is no consent banner because there is nothing here to consent to.

The cookie is marked HttpOnly, so no script can read it; Secure, so it is only ever sent over HTTPS; and SameSite=Lax, so it is not sent when another site links into ours in a way that could be used against you. It holds an opaque identifier and nothing else — no name, no address, no preference.
This cookie is strictly necessary: the portal cannot work without it, and under the ePrivacy rules in force in the EU and the UK a strictly necessary cookie does not require consent. That is why there is no banner.
What we do not set
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics — no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no pixel.
- No social media plugins or embedded players.
- No fonts, scripts or stylesheets loaded from another company’s servers. Everything this site needs is served from this domain, so no third party is told that you visited.
- No cross-site identifier of any kind, and nothing stored in your browser beyond the session cookie above.
How we count visits instead
We record which pages are requested, in our own database, on our own server. A visit is attributed to a one-way digest of your network address and browser description, salted with a secret and the calendar date. That digest changes every day and cannot be reversed or matched across days, so it counts readers without identifying anyone. See the Privacy Policy.
Activity inside the client portal is recorded against the account, because access to confidential material has to be controlled and evidenced. That is described in the confidentiality undertaking every account holder accepts.
Managing cookies
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking the session cookie will stop you signing in and will stop forms submitting, but the public pages will work normally.
